Join us at a Reboot the Earth Hackathon!
The Digital Public Goods Alliance Secretariat is thrilled to join forces with DPGA members FAO and the UN Office of Information and Communications Technology alongside Salesforce and the UN Youth Office to take action that can help address the climate crisis through Reboot the Earth.
Reboot The Earth is a series of social coding events that brings together a diverse group to improve upon or build technology solutions that addresses the current climate crisis. This year’s event will focus on building solutions that can become digital public goods to help advance the United Nations’ climate-focused Sustainable Development Goals. Kicking off in New York City, USA on May 1st and 2nd, Reboot the Earth will later travel to Hyderabad, India; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; and Rabat, Morocco.
We invite young computer programmers, administrators, architects, scientists, and other interested individuals to improve upon or build new open-source software programs that address the current climate crisis to attend. Participants will benefit from dedicated support from mentors and partners, aimed at refining and enhancing their prototypes. Winners will be invited to the OSPO for Good event in July to present their innovation to a global audience!
Visit the UN Office of Information and Communications Technology’s website to stay up to date and register to attend.
